Glasgow Edinburgh developments Limited has traded since 1991 in the form of its original name Waverley Properties (Holdings) Limited.

Originally concentrating on regeneration in Leith, the historic port area of Edinburgh Andrew Borthwick, the managing director created a positive reputation for converting tired old nineteenth century warehouses into thriving office buildings particularly popular with creative businesses.

When an opportunity to become involved in innovative regeneration in Glasgow arose Andrew created a specialist off shoot Alba Town Limited to spearhead the transformation of the Glasgow cross area. Over three hundred flats and forty thousand square feet of commercial space later this strategic area of Scotland's largest city has indeed transformed itself.

The Merchant Building in particular has established itself as the centrepiece of this regeneration situated as it is at the corner of High Street, Trongate and Gallowgate.

Glasgow Edinburgh Developments is now managing the site at Bell St Glasgow where they will be co-ordinating the creation of a near sixty apartment project on behalf of Grant Stafford Limited.
